Philippe Mexes has been recalled to the AC Milan starting line-up for Sunday's Serie A showdown with Napoli at San Siro.
The France centre-half, who joined the club from Roma last summer, starts in place of the injured Alessandro Nesta alongside Thiago Silva at the heart of the Rossoneri defence.
Elsewhere, Luca Antonini replaces Djamel Mesbah at left-back, while Urby Emanuelson returns in midfield as Robinho is pushed up front, taking the place of Stephan El Shaarawy in attack. El Shaarawy is dropped to the bench, where he is joined by recent arrival Maxi Lopez.
In the only other change to the side beaten by Lazio on Wednesday night, Massimbo Ambrosini makes way for veteran Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf.
As for Napoli, Marek Hamsik and Ezequiel Lavezzi are both restored to the starting line-up and will start in behind lone striker Edinson Cavani.
Goran Pandev and Gokhan Inler are both dropped to the bench, Juan Camilo Zuniga takes over from Andrea Dossena on the left side of midfield, while Pablo Cannavaro slots back into the defence in place of Miguel Britos.
AC Milan (4-4-2): Abbiati; Abate, Mexes, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Emanuelson, Van Bommel, Nocerino, Seedorf; Ibrahimovic, Robinho.
Subs: Amelia, Bonera, Zambrotta, Mesbah, Ambrosini, El Shaarawy, Maxi Lopez.
Napoli (3-4-2-1): De Sanctis; Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Aronica; Maggio, Gargano, Dzemaili, Zuniga; Lavezzi, Hamsik; Cavani.
