Daniele De Rossi is expected to put pen to paper on a new five-year deal at Roma next week, according to a report from Italy.
The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is now free to negotiate a deal with any interested clubs but the midfielder, who is a target for both Manchester clubs, looks set to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the deal is worth €6 million per year plus performance related bonuses, which would make the Italy international one of the highest paid players in Europe.
The contract is also expected to include a €10m buyout clause, but this can only be activated a month before the end of the season.
De Rossi has made 267 league appearances for the club since making his debut back in 2001, scoring 32 goals in the process.
