The agent of Miroslav Klose has dismissed reports claiming that the forward had a bust-up with Lazio sporting director Igli Tare.
The 33-year-old sat out Wednesday's Serie A win over AC Milan with a reported thigh problem but there have been subsequent reports that the player had actually missed the game at the Stadio Olimpico because of a falling out with the Albanian.
It was suggested that the pair had clashed over the Biancocelesti's lack of activity during the January transfer window, with Klose said to have been upset with the failure to add any high-profile players to a squad which even coach Edy Reja has admitted is currently overstretched.
However, the player's representative has insisted that there was no argument and the player's leg injury was legitimate.
"There was no clash between Klose and Tare," he is quoted as saying by Il Corriere dello Sport.
"They are only rumours and inventions [of the media]. Miro did not play just because he had hurt his leg again."
Klose has proven a revelation since arriving in Rome from Bayern Munich last summer, having already scored 12 goals in 19 Serie A appearances.
