Wesley Sneijder has been given a starting shirt in the Inter XI to take on Palermo at San Siro in tonight's Serie A week 21 fixture.
The Dutchman was replaced at half-time by coach Claudio Ranieri during Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Lecce, and the Nerazzurri boss admitted after the game that he would have to work hard to find Sneijder's best use to his side, who had strung together seven league wins before the reverse at the Stadio Via del Mare.
However, Ranieri has stuck with the Dutchman, with Andrea Poli given a rare start in the central midfield role left vacant after Thiago Motta's move to Paris Saint-Germain. New signing Angelo Palombo is among the substitutes.
Palermo will look to keep the home side out with the help of Inter's own Emiliano Viviano. The goalkeeper will make his third appearance for the Rosanero since his January signing from Genoa, who held half of his rights along with the Nerazzurri.
The clash kicks off at 20.45CET, with no disruptions expected despite snow having continued to fall throughout the day in Lombardy.
Inter (4-3-1-2): Julio Cesar; Maicon, Lucio, Ranocchia, Nagatomo; Zanetti, Cambiasso, Poli; Sneijder; Pazzini, Milito.
Subs: Castellazzi, Cordoba, Chivu, Palombo, Obi, Zarate, Castaignos.
Palermo (4-3-1-2): Viviano; Munoz, Silvestre, Mantovani, Balzaretti; Barreto, Donati, Bertolo; Miccoli, Zahavi; Budan.
Subs: Tzorvas, Aguirregaray, Pisano, Vazquez, Acquah, Mehmeti, Ilicic.
