Lazio are expected to learn on Monday if their bid for CSKA Moscow's Keisuke Honda has been successful, while there is mounting speculation that AC Milan's Filippo Inzaghi could also be on his way to the Stadio Olimpico.

CSKA are reportedly demanding €15 million for Honda but the Biancocelesti are said to have offered €12m for the Japan international, to be paid over a period of three years, and are now waiting to hear back from their Russian rivals.

Lazio have already confirmed that Honda is currently their principal transfer target
and, according to Sports Nippon, the player has already agreed terms with the Serie A side.

Indeed, it was claimed that the player was in Rome over the weekend to meet with Lazio president Claudio Lotito but the club's director of sport, Igli Tare, denied that was the case.

According to Corriere dello Sport, meanwhile, Lazio are also weighing up a last-gasp bid for Inzaghi before the January transfer window closes on Tuesday night.

Inzaghi had seen little time at San Siro this season as it was but he has now slipped even further down the pecking order following the arrival of Maxi Lopez from Catania.
