Inter defender Cristian Chivu has stressed that he has not been in touch with AC Milan, and added that he is not interested in joining the club's rivals.
A number of recent reports suggested that the left-back was in talks with the Serie A champions about a free transfer this summer, but Chivu has insisted that there is no truth in the rumours.
"That was just something the media concocted, and by no coincidence it was right before the derby. That was wrong and totally untrue," Chivu was quoted as saying by Inter Channel.
"Nobody spoke to the club, to me or anyone else about that. And it's not going to happen. It's all made up and I'm not even interested."
Chivu, whose current deal expires this summer, then went on to explain that contract talks are scheduled in the upcoming weeks.
He added: "My agent and the club have decided they will discuss it in February."
