The 24-year-old striker says that his side are determined to win a trophy this season, but was coy when asked about their chances in the Coppa Italia semi final
The Uruguay international was the man of the match at the Stadio San Paolo as he inspired Napoli to victory with two goals in the second half.
The Partenopei have been in disappointing form in Serie A, as they lie in seventh position, 12 points off the top, but Cavani has not written off his side's chances in any competition.
"We must always think about what lies ahead," he told Rai Sport. "We have to continue to fight, because these players are keen to win something important.
"The most important thing was to win and we did it, so we are happy."
Cavani also dismissed the notion that Napoli have an easy route to the Coppa Italia final as they will tackle Siena in the semi-final stage.
"I do not know, we always try to prepare as best as possible to leave our souls on the field," he added. "We need to continue like this and also try to improve."
