Diego Forlan is in line to make a return for Inter after being included in Claudio Ranieri's squad for Tuesday's visit to Genoa.

The Uruguay international has not featured for Inter since early October after picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty.

Forlan, who has scored one goal in seven matches for Inter, claimed earlier on Monday that he was desperate to return to action in order to prove his worth at the club.

Meanwhile, Wesley Sneijder is not available for selection for the match at Marassi as he continues to recover from a muscular problem.

Andrea Ranocchia had been included in the squad for the rescheduled Serie A fixture, but a muscular injury sustained in Monday's practice session will force him to miss the trip to Genoa.

Inter are 10th in the Serie A standings, one point behind Genoa in seventh spot.
