Inter striker Diego Forlan has admitted that he can't wait to make his comeback after his hamstring injury as he is determined to help the team again.
The experienced attacker joined Inter from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window, but has so far been unable to make an impact due to a number of injuries.
"I'm desperate to play. I haven't been able to contribute much since I joined, as it hasn't been an easy period, so I can't wait to be able to help the team. I don't know yet when I will make my return, though," Forlan said at the Pupi Christmas Gala charity event organised by team-mate Javier Zanetti.
The Uruguay star also discussed Inter's 2-0 win over Fiorentina and felt the Nerazzurri put in a good performance.
"We needed to beat Fiorentina and we managed it," he said.
"That was the most important thing. We played well. To win trophies you need to put in the hard work and we're doing that so I'm confident."
Inter have climbed to 10th spot in the league table with 17 points from 13 games following last weekend's results. They visit Genoa on Tuesday in a rescheduled Serie A fixture.
