After both sides failed to break the deadlock the veteran hailed his team's efforts having shared the points despite being a man down for the whole of the second half
Mirko Vucinic opened the scoring in the 29th minute but was sent off just before half-time, opening the door for a Bologna equaliser that was headed in by Daniele Portanova 10 minutes after the break.
Speaking after the game, Buffon hailed the fighting spirit and pride of his team-mates.
“We were very aggressive and focused on overcoming our rivals despite being one man down," he told the club’s official website.
“Obviously, with a full team, we would have had much more chances to win, but in sports there are unexpected events.
“This should make us proud of ourselves, this should spur us in the future, helping us to be more aggressive.”
Centre-back Barzagli was similar in his assessment of the match: “We put in a great performance and the three points were the only thing that was missing.
“I think that this evening we were also a bit unlucky and their goalkeeper pulled off some fantastic saves. We’ll keep going in the same way, because we dominated both the first and second halves, despite being down to 10.”
The draw leaves Juventus tied at the top of the table with Udinese, Atalanta and Genoa.
