Inter have confirmed the sacking of Gian Piero Gasperini following a winless start to the Serie A season.
The club suffered a 3-1 defeat to newly promoted Novara on Tuesday night as their poor run under Gasperini continued.
Gasperini left Genoa and took charge of the Milan-based side in June, but could only manage one draw and four defeats in his first five competitive games, including the Super Cup defeat to rivals AC Milan and an embarrassing loss in the Champions League to Turkish side Trabzonspor.
"Inter want to communicate that the first-team training at Appiano Gentile this morning was taken over by Daniele Bernazzani and Giuseppe Baresi," a statement on the club's official website reads.
"The club wants to thank Gian Piero Gasperini for his efforts."
