Coach Didier Deschamps eager to bring in some firepower, but the Italian has dampened his hopes of landing him as he confirms he will stay with Luis Enrique's side

Roma striker Marco Borriello insists he will not be leaving the club despite interest from Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain.

The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to France following a report in L'Equipe on Wednesday claiming Didier Deschamps is looking to carry out some last-minute transfer window business, and beat interest from PSG.

Deschamps is eager to add a striker to his squad following a poor start to the season in Ligue 1, and moves for Fiorentina's Alberto Gilardino and Juventus striker Amauri appear to have fallen short.

However, the former Juventus coach may have to broaden his search for an alternative forward as Borriello made clear he has no intention to leave after joining the club permanently from AC Milan in June.

"I am going to train with Roma, and so I will not be leaving," Borriello told Sky Sport Italia.

As well as the French duo, Galatasaray have also been linked with an €8 million (£7m) move, but the player's latest remarks suggest any subsequent exit is very unlikely at this stage.
