thumbnail Hello,

Italian boss is keeping one eye on the European Cup final as he reveals his satisfaction at how pre-season is going ahead of Bayern Munich match

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is already thinking about the Champions League final in Munich next year.

The Italian champions are in Germany and will take on Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena later on Tuesday in the Audi Cup.

The tactician hopes to add to last year's Scudetto by winning Europe's most prestigious club competition this season.

"We hope to come back here next year for the Champions League final," Allegri is quoted as saying by Italy.

"The game on Tuesday [against Bayern] will be an important test for us ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana against Inter.

"We have to think about one thing at a time, and there is still time for the Champions League.

"I am happy with the way things are progressing and the pre-season preparations are going without any problems."

Milan were dumped out of the Champions League last season by Tottenham in the round of 16.
