Santos coach Muricy Ramalho has declared that forward Neymar would struggle to adapt to life at Real Madrid.
The Brazil international is highly expected to sign for Real Madrid as reports suggest the Spanish club will meet the player's €45 million [£39.6m] release clause.
Barcelona were also suggested to be interested in Neymar, and Ramalho has never hidden his opinion that the 19-year-old would better suit the La Liga champions.
The Santos boss has now indicated that Neymar would find it hard to adjust to Real Madrid's playing style, which is different from that of Brazilian clubs and Barcelona.
"Real Madrid's game is more tactical and Neymar likes to play as if he is on the street, free," he said during a press conference.
"Barcelona are more technical, they play a lot like Brazilians do, and that is why our players adapt there so well there.
"Neymar is not a tactical player, he is a technical one, so he could have a hard time at Real Madrid, if he goes there."
Earlier in the week, Neymar's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, claimed that the only pending issue for the player's transfer to Jose Mourinho's side to be completed was the payment of the transfer fee.
However, it is believed Real Madrid, Neymar and Santos have yet to come to an agreement regarding the date in which the player will move to the Spanish capital club, as he is keen to help the Brazilian side win the Club World Cup in December.
