Official: Juventus sign Bayer Leverkusen's Arturo Vidal

The Italian giants have finally wrapped up a deal for the highly-rated Chilean, putting an end to weeks of speculation surrounding his future as he signs a five-year contract
Juventus have announced they have completed the signing of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Arturo Vidal in a €10.5 million [£9.24m] deal.

The Chile international has penned a five-year contract with Juventus after passing a medical with the club earlier on Friday.

The transfer fee will be paid in three different installments: €5m [£4.4m] will be go to Bayer Leverkusen immediately, while €3 million will only be transferred on 30 June. The remaining €2.5 million will hit the German club's bank account on 31 December of 2012.

Juventus have announced the transfer fee could rise by €2 million, depending upon the player's performances over the next five years.

Vidal, 24, had been a mainstay at Bayer Leverkusen since his arrival in 2007 from Colo Colo, who will receive 30 per cent of the transfer fee.
