Chile international Alexis Sanchez appears to be one step closer to a move away from Serie A side Udinese at the end of the season as the player's agent, Fernando Felicevich, has met with Champions League finalists Barcelona, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Sanchez's agent reportedly met with representatives of the Spanish giants ahead of last Tuesday's Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid to discuss a possible move in the summer transfer window.
Barcelona are looking to add an extra attacker to their squad ahead of the 2011-12 campaign and the 22-year-old Sanchez is one of the club's primary targets in the transfer market.
However, they will face an uphill task to lure the Chile international away from his current club as Udinese are determined to hold out on their €30 million (£26.2m) asking price for Sanchez, as Goal.com exclusively revealed earlier this month.
Aside from Barcelona, clubs such as Inter, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are also keen on signing the tricky attacker.
