Swedish youngster feels he is not yet ready to move abroad and has decided to stay with his current club for now, insisting it will help his development in the long termNorrkoping defender Haris Nezirevic has revealed that he has turned down the opportunity to join AC Milan as he wants to make an impact in the Swedish league before moving to Italy.
The 16-year-old says it was not easy to reject the chance to sign for the Serie A leaders, but insists it will be better for his development if he stays in Sweden.
"It is flattering that a big club like Milan make enquiries but I want to play in the Allsvenskan and establish myself here first," he was quoted as saying by Expressen.
"I hope to make my first-team debut pretty soon. I feel like I've made a lot of progress recently and I'm ready to make the next step."
He added: "Well, it was flattering that Milan approached and they are a big club. However, it's better for my development to play in Allsvenskan and that's what I am aiming at."
The highly rated defender is regarded as one of the biggest talents around in Sweden and has already trained with Norrkoping's first-team.
