Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho wins Serie A coach of the year award after treble success with Inter

But Portuguese coach fails to show up at ceremony
Jose Mourinho's heroics often come with noise, but there was silence at an award ceremony as he failed to show up for the 2010 Panchina D'Oro (Golden Bench) award.

The now Real Madrid coach was named best Serie A coach of 2010 following his treble-winning campaign with Inter.

However, Mourinho opted not to collect the award when the roll call was made with over 70 per cent of the votes won by the self-proclaimed 'Special One'.

Juventus boss Luigi Del Neri was second, followed by Roma coach Claudio Ranieri who finished third.

Japan coach Alberto Zaccheroni won a special award for winning the Asian Cup.
