Reports of a pay-as-you-play contract have been dampened with news of Juventus taking time on offering the player an extension to his current deal, which expires in June.
The club legend is keen to remain in Turin, but as yet there have been no developments, according to the player's representative Stefano Del Piero.
"We want to know if Alex is still in the club's plans, it's simple," Stefano told Calciomercato.
"It's clear Alex would like to play in the new stadium for another year with Juventus and, seeing his Juve history, he deserves clarity from the club.
"There was a meeting between Alessandro and the president Andrea Agnelli in which they spoke of many things, but there was no development on the contract."
