Marco Borriello has admitted being hurt by the reactions of his parent club's fans during Roma's 1-0 win over AC Milan.
Borriello was the man who made the difference at the San Siro as he scored the only goal of the game, but he was jeered by the AC Milan faithful.
"I was a little hurt by the jeers. I didn't expect them, as I did not make any aggressive gestures during my celebration," the hitman told Football Italia.
"In any case, I am happy for my team and we closed the gap on the leaders to seven points. I am finding my consistency in terms of performances and scoring some decisive goals. Roma have proven we are a competitive side."
When the on-loan forward was questioned about Roma's chances of turning the win into a Scudetto-winning run, he responded positively.
"I have always said we have a chance, even during the difficult opening games. Our squad is extraordinary, and it all depends on us," Borriello added.
