Parma coach Pasquale Marino admits his side 'fell apart' against AC Milan

Boss watched his side collapse after Pirlo struck...
After his Parma side fell to a home defeat at the hands of AC Milan, coach Pasquale Marino said his team had fallen apart following the only goal of the night by Andrea Pirlo.

Despite only winning by a one-goal margin after Pirlo's spectacular strike, it could easily have been more with the visitors wasting a number of goalscoring opportunities.

Marino said he was happy with the way his team started the game, but could not get over the way they struggled after going a goal behind.

“We fell apart after the goal tonight,” Marino declared to SkySport. “You cannot commit such ingenuities in the Italian top-flight and we need to learn to react in future.

“Unfortunately the side is enduring a difficult moment right now and considering the injuries, my life hasn’t been made any easier recently.

“I thought we started the game well, however, and we must take our early attitude as the main positive from tonight.

“Some might argue we could have been a little more fortunate with regards to the decisions inside the box, but I don’t wish to look for excuses in defeat.”
