AC Milan star Ronaldinho has praised club owner Silvio Berlusconi, claiming the Italian Prime Minister is like a father to him and has shown plenty of belief in his abilities.
The Milan supremo brought the playmaker to the San Siro in 2008 for a fee in the region of €18.5 million (£15.5m).
"He's my dad. Like a big brother, like a father," Ronaldinho said, according L'Equipe.
"I know I can count on him. We have a wonderful relationship. I have full confidence in him and I have his confidence. If I need something I can call him."
The Brazilian's career looked to be floundering during his last year at Barcelona and first season at Milan, but it took a positive turn and he lead the way for assists in Serie A in the 2009-10 campaign.
"[It was] Thanks to a great coach in Leonardo, he let me do what I can do best on the pitch," concluded the 30-year-old.
Ronaldinho helped to set up both of Milan's goals in their 2-0 win over Auxerre on Wednesday night in the Champions League.
