Roma's Stefano Okaka not afraid of Marco Borriello competition
Forward keen to prove his worth and fight for regular place...
By Salvatore Landolina
Roma striker Stefano Okaka is ready to stretch his legs and take up a regular place in the team, unafraid of the difficulties caused by Marco Borriello's arrival.
Okaka doesn't see the former Milan man as an imminent threat to a starting place, but as a long-term problem.
Nevertheless, he is confident of cutting his own shade in Claudio Ranieri's plans.
"I say that the more [threats for a first team place], the better," Okaka told Il Corriere dello Sport.
"We are challenging on three fronts and everyone will be useful to the cause. In September we will be playing three games a week.
"Ranieri makes the choices and it's the pitch that proves how much a player is worth. I am tranquil like I have always been.
"I am a player like all the rest and I will try my best for the good of the team."
