Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi is ready to forsake his boyhood support for Milan so that he can join Inter this summer.
The Italian hot-shot has been linked with the Nerazzurri as a replacement for Mario Balotelli once he completes his expected move to Manchester City.
Despite his stable stand with Villarreal, Rossi sounded optimistic when probed about joining the Champions League and Seria A holders, and admitted he would cast his penchant for Milan aside so he can join the Rossoneri's historic rivals.
"I have read in the papers that Inter have asked about me, but I have not heard anything official," Rossi told Il Corriere dello Sport.
"Of course, if I received an interesting proposal from a great team then I would think about it, and then we would see what happens.
"I won't hide that the voices are pleasing. Being linked with the best team in Europe and the Champions League winners is nice.
"Milan? I was a Milanista when I was young, but when you become a professional then you only think about doing well for the team you play for."
