Inter striker Mario Balotelli has passed his exams and obtained a diploma in accounting from the institute of Milan, with a score of 60 out of 100.

Il Corriere dello Sport
now claims the hitman could consider a sports science degree course at an Italian university, leading to questions over his club future following his links with Manchester City and Manchester United.

"Now I want to go to University," Balotelli was quoted as saying once told of the results.

The results arrived on Wednesday morning when head of the institute Attilia Ferrari informed him of the results during a phone call. Balotelli was at Appiano Gentile training with the squad.

Teammate Davide Santon also passed, albeit with better marks than his team-mate. The defender got 62 out of 100.

Balotelli received praise from Ferrari, who acknowledged the effort he put into his studies, despite a tough season on the pitch for Inter last term.

"I would advise him to do a sports degree, it would be useful to an athlete like him," Ferrari said.

"He got the minimum marks, but he did it with dignity because nobody gifted him anything."
