Lazio will not give up on trying to sign Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng, according to tuttomercatoweb.
There were suggestions the Rome-based outfit might agree a co-ownership deal with Genoa, but it appears that Lazio would rather own the player outright and are continuing negotiations with the English side for his signature.
Boateng, 23, was one of the most impressive players for Ghana in their run to the World Cup 2010 quarter-finals.
Lazio and Portsmouth are reportedly very close to an agreement, but Boateng's personal demands could scupper the deal. Nonetheless, the Biancocelesti are hopeful that an agreement for the former Hertha BSC player can be completed in the near future.
Lazio finished with 46 points last season, missing out on European competition. They recently extended the contract of veteran midfielder Cristian Brocchi.
