Simon Kjaer will decamp Palermo and join Wolfsburg after agreeing personal terms with the German club, reports Calciomercato.com.

The 21-year-old Danish international will pen a four-year contract worth €2.5 million [£2.1] per annum and Wolfsburg will pay Palermo €14m [£11.6m] in transfer fees in three installments.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini had claimed Spurs had bid [£35m] £28.9m but the north London club told Goal.com UK that wasn't the case, despite the interest.

On Sunday Rosanero director Walter Sabatini confirmed Kjaer would be joining Wolfsburg, but neither club have announced the move officially.

The former Midtjylland player, who joined Palermo in 2008, was also linked with Tottenham, but the Premier League side denied they made an offer when asked by Goal.com UK.

Kjaer is likely to be thrown in at the deep end by Wolfsburg who kick off the 2010-11 Bundesliga fixture with an away clash against German champions Bayern Munich.
