Inter director Marco Branca has set out an approach for the transfer market, but he will not rush judgement and panic buys.

Branca outlined plans for the market in relation to the questions at issue: Maicon's link with Real Madrid, and Mario Balotelli's future with the Nerazzurri.

Reports suggested Real Madrid had made a succession of offers for the Brazilian, but Branca said there has not been any significant action on the transfer scene.

"Maicon? We have not received any official offers. Here at Inter no one leaves unless they want to, and Maicon has yet to let us know anything, in fact more than once he said he wants to remain at Inter," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"His price is €35 million? Of course. I see clubs spending more than that on players that are worth less than Maicon.

"A player and cash deal? For the way we play I cannot see a Real Madrid player that will help improve us. Gonzalo Higuain is a great striker, but Diego Milito is better."

See Mou Soon?

Mario Balotelli has been linked with Arsenal and Milan, but Branca kicked the idea of leaving into the long grass.

"Balotelli? He is not for sale and so there is no evaluation. We are fine up front."

Roma are desperate to sign defender Nicolas Burdisso, and Branca has told them to cough up rather than expect a discount.

"Burdisso costs €10m and Roma know this. We will not give any discounts," he concluded.
