Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has indicated that he does not know what the future holds for him after the World Cup.

The Slovakia international has been linked with pastures new over the last few weeks, with Inter Milan, Manchester City and Juventus all mooted as interested parties.

Hamsik recently voiced his desire to extend his stay at the San Paolo, but he has now surprisingly declared he does not know what is on the cards for him after the World Cup.

"Right now I am not thinking at all about Napoli or the market, this [World Cup] is too important of an event and there cannot be distractions of any kind," Hamsik told SkySport.

"The future? Who knows? South Africa is full of football managers and scouts, this is a great showcase for all players."

Hamsik has been with Napoli since completing a €5.5m (£4.58m) switch from Brescia in 2007.
