The former Mainz boss has delivered two Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal and led his side to the Champions League final during his six years in charge at Signal Iduna Park.
The Poland skipper says that there are more and more expectations on his team-mates with every passing year, thanks principally to the achievements of their head coach.
"After we won two titles, a lot has changed," he told Ruhr Nachrichten.
"In 2007, when I started here, we had no pressure. Finishing fifth or sixth was okay. Now we have to qualify for the Champions League every year as our duty.
"Our success wouldn't have been possible without Klopp. Without passion, quality just isn't enough.
"I'm glad I'm able to play at such a big club. Dortmund is a second home for me and my family and BVB will always be my number one."
Blaszczykowski is set to be fully fit for the start of the 2014-15 campaign after being sidelined since January with a cruciate ligament injury.
