The attacking midfielder admits he has found his lack of first-team football tough to take but is determined to prove his worth to Pep Guardiola

Mario Gotze has insisted that he will continue to give his all for Bayern Munich in an attempt to convince head coach Pep Guardiola of his right to a first-team place.

The Germany international recently voiced his frustration with life at the Allianz Arena side after being persistently left on the substitutes' bench.

However, the attacking midfielder has vowed to win his spot in the starting XI and suggests his experience since his €37 million (£31.5m) move from Borussia Dortmund could prove a useful learning curve.

"It has been an odd situation for me not to play regularly. This was an entirely new experience for me," Gotze was quoted as saying by Bild .

"But I will give my all whenever I get playing time. That's the only way for me to show what I can do.

"I even think it's not always a bad thing for a young player like me when you don't play each game."

Gotze has netted 10 goals in 27 Bundesliga appearances so far this term.
