The midfielder has laughed off suggestions he was unhappy with the Bayern coach's decision to replace him during their 1-1 Champions League draw with Manchester United

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos insists he has no problem with head coach Pep Guardiola after he was taken off in this week's 1-1 Champions League draw against Manchester United.

Kroos seemed frustrated after making way for Mario Gotze with 20 minutes remaining, and was seen talking to Guardiola immediately after his substitution, leading to speculation the midfielder was unhappy with his coach's decision to replace him.

Nevertheless, the Germany international has now made it clear he did not mind his substitution as it was for tactical reasons.

"We only discussed a few tactical things. It was the coach's decision to replace me," Kroos told TZ.

"I don't mind when I'm taken off after 70 minutes. The plan was to bring on Mario Gotze in order to play even more attacking for the final 20 minutes. That is not a problem for me.

"The coach told me I did well. Everything was just fine. Nobody likes to be substituted."

Kroos previously made the headlines after reacting angrily to Guardiola's decision to take him off against Stuttgart back in January.
