Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer says he was delighed to see Bastian Schweinsteiger back on the pitch for the Bavarians.
The Germany vice-captain had been missing since November's Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen after undergoing ankle surgery.
However, he returned in the 5-0 DFB-Pokal win over Hamburg on Wednesday and Sammer believes the midfielder's comeback is great news for the club.
"I'm delighted Bastian Schweinsteiger is now back and that Javi Martinez played again. It's good news for us," he told the club's official site.
"This is how we want to carry on."
Reflecting on the match, Sammer felt that his side were in full control once they settled into the Imtech Arena clash after a tough opening period.
"Obviously you need a little time at the start. But once we settled we were composed right through to the end. It's magnificent from the team and full of commitment."
Meanwhile, Dante believes his side made hard work of their victory over HSV, who held out for the first 20 minutes before collapsing to yet another defeat.
"HSV kept it very tight for the first 20 minutes and were aggressive. We made heavy weather of it. But then we scored the first two goals.
"We kept it simple and we were focused. Now we have to start concentrating on Saturday."
