However, despite impressing against at Weserstadion, Mkhitaryan has struggled to capture the magnificent form that persuaded Dortmund to pay Shakhtar Donetsk €27.5 million for his services last summer and Klopp has urged him to improve.
"He is aware, as are we, that he has to show these qualities more often," the 46-year-old trainer was quoted by Bild am Sonntag. "But today [Saturday] we have seen the old Borussia.
Before scoring against struggling Bremen, Mkhitaryan had failed to hit the net in 1066 minutes for die Schwarzgelben but, now that he has improved his tally to five in 18 Bundesliga games, the Armenian hopes he has turned a corner.
