Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm admits there is now an awkward atmosphere at the club after it emerged that there is a 'mole' within the dressing room.
Coach Pep Guardiola expressed his fury at learning that a member of his playing staff had been leaking tactical information to the press, with the former Barcelona boss promising that the guilty party would never play under him again.
While the furore has not affected Bayern's form, with the Bundesliga outfit breaking a Champions League record on Wednesday night with a 3-1 win over CSKA Moscow, Lahm is desperately hoping that the controversy is resolved sooner rather than later.
"I hope that the club speak to the players but I'm not sure they will identify the person responsible," the Bavarian side's skipper told TZ.
"I hope that the issue is solved sooner rather than later. Admittedly, however, it is an uncomfortable situation that goes beyond fair play."
