The Polish right-back is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery, but he will not take any unnecessary risks as he looks to return for the second half of the seasonBorussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek hopes to be fully match fit and available for selection again by the turn of the year.
The Poland international underwent hip and groin surgery earlier this summer and has not featured for Dortmund so far this season.
And while the 28-year-old is eager to make his comeback, he insists that he will not rush his return and risk a further lay-off.
"My goal is to come back for the second half of the season," Piszczek told Bild.
"Even though I have a little pain every now and then, it is definitely much better than before the operation. I am satisfied.
"But I will do nothing unnecessary to put myself under pressure after such a major operation."
Piszczek joined Dortmund from Hertha in the summer of 2010 and has since become a key player with last season's Champions League finalists.
