The Dortmund boss is delighted with his new star playmaker and is confident of replacing him when he misses the start of the season due to injury
The Armenia international sealed a move to BVB from Shakhtar Donetsk this summer to replace Mario Gotze, who left Signal Iduna Park for Bayern Munich.
Mkhitaryan sustained an ankle injury which will keep him out of the start of the season but Klopp is delighted with his impact at the club.
"Mkhitaryan fits us like an arse in a bucket. What he offers is exactly what we need," the Dortmund coach told Bild.
Despite, the 24-year-old's injury, Klopp is confident that he has enough players to replace him for the opening games of the season.
"In the Champions League finals, Marco Reus played in that position," he said. "We have a few options."
Robert Lewandowski has bemoaned the club's desire to hold him to the last year of his contract but Klopp remains calm about the situation.
"He feels right at home in this team," he added. "We're dealing with the situation in a completely relaxed way."
BVB have been boosted by the arrivals of Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer and their new boss is delighted with his new charges.
"We have had really good luck with the new additions," he continued. "It's always easy with this team."
