Premier League clubs make "concrete offers" for Schalke star Holtby - Heldt

The Knappen official reveals details about the interest of several English sides hoping to clinch the signing of the talented playmaker, in whom Liverpool are interested
Schalke general manager Horst Heldt has confirmed that "there are concrete offers" to take Lewis Holtby to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old, who has English family, has expressed his intent to one day play for in the country's top division on numerous occasions in the past, with exclusively revealing in October that Liverpool are pursuing his signature on a free transfer next summer.

"I have always said that one day, I want to play in England. I would not exclude Liverpool, even if it would mean a hit against my father, who is a die-hard Everton fan," Holtby was quoted as saying by Bild.

Heldt noted that "there are concrete offers" and revealed that the midfielder is aiming to make the move a reality, explaining: "Lewis has English roots, I understand that he is chasing this dream.

"We are in final talks. I think we can offer a lot to him but he is for free [because his contract expires in the summer] and the decision is up to Lewis in the end."
