The Polish star has committed his long-term future to the Bundesliga champions by signing a three-year extension to his contract, which was due to expire next summer
The 26-year-old midfielder has developed into a key player at Signal Iduna Park since completing a €3 million (£2.3m) move from Wisła Krakow in the summer of 2007.
He has now put an end to speculation regarding his long-term future at Dortmund by adding three more years to his previous deal, which expired in 2013, amid reports of interest from the likes of Liverpool and Inter.
"I am very happy in Dortmund," he told reporters after signing the new contract. "The last five years at Dortmund were just great."
The Poland international, who captained his country's as they hosted Euro 2012, has scored 14 goals in 141 Bundesliga appearances for the defending champions.
