The club official has brought the transfer season to a close for the Bavarians, declaring the side is already well-stocked ahead of their new campaign
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has insisted that the club are already strong enough to challenge on all fronts and ruled out the possibility of making any further signings in the summer transfer window. The Bavarians have already brought in the likes of Claudio Pizarro, Mario Mandzukic and Dante to reinforce the squad ahead of the new campaign, a situation which the official believes stands the Bundesliga runners-up in good stead.
"We have two players for every position - this is our squad for next season," Rummenigge affirmed to Sports Bild. "Unless [coach Jupp] Haynckes or [director Matthias] Sammer request an addition, we have accomplished all our transfers before the August 31 deadline."
Rummenigge then quashed rumours regarding the potential departure of winger Arjen Robben, saying: "The debate over his transfer status is unnecessary. He will be staying with us 100 percent."
The Dutch attacker endured a difficult season at Bayern Munich and missed a crucial penalty in the Champions League final against former club Chelsea in stoppage time.
