Lucien Favre has requested that a clause be inserted into his new Borussia Monchengladbach deal that would allow him to join Bayern Munich, according to Bild.

The club are keen to tie Favre down to a new contract, but the 54-year-old has been widely touted as a replacement for Jupp Heynckes at the Allianz Arena when the veteran coach's deal with the Bavarians expires in 2013.
Bayern Munich are 5/1 with bet365 to win the Champions League this season.

Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl refused to confirm that Favre had requested any clauses in the contract, and said that it was up to the coach himself to reveal that information.

The Swiss coach moved to Borussia Park last season and his side are currently clinging to the final Champions League spot.

Borussia Monchengladbach, who have picked up just one win in their last eight Bundesliga games, will look to get back on track when they entertain Koln on Sunday.
