Thomas Muller has thanked Bayern Munich's fans for the loyal support they showed him following his strike against Kaiserslautern, which ended his goal drought .
The Germany star had failed to find the net in a league match since September, an unhappy run that was broken by a 30th minute header against the relegation candidates.
"Hello all. Many thanks for the congratulations!" Muller wrote on his official Facebook page.
"It was nice to finally score a goal. I've never jumped so high in the air."
Muller went on to be substituted soon after the break, but voiced his hope that he would be able to recover from injury in time for the weekend's trip to Freiburg.
"Although unfortunately at the same time, I suffered a dead leg. It was definitely worth it for me.
"Today we have the day off, so hopefully I can recover from it. In the morning, we have two sessions scheduled. Freiburg are waiting for us on Saturday, we must continue our streak.
"Good week, your Thomas," he concluded.
Bayern Munich and Freiburg kick off at 17:30GMT on Saturday February 18.
