Fulham signing Pavel Pogrebnyak denies rift with Stuttgart hierarchy
The Russian says that rumours surrounding his exit are fabricated, and thanks former club's fans for their appreciation of him during his time in Germany
By Enis Koylu
The Russian international was a late mover to the Premier League on deadline day, but left the Bundesliga outfit in acrimonious circumstances, amid claims that his relationship with the Stuttgart management had become untenable.
However, speaking on his former club's official website, the 28-year-old took time to refute the rumours.
"Some sensationalist quotes, which are now flitted by the media, are simply not true. This is not my style. I was very happy in Stuttgart.
"I have a feeling the fans always appreciated my commitment. I also feel that it is very important for me to say goodbye to them and thank them."
Pogrebnyak moved to Fulham for £3 million, signing a six-month contract.
