Werder Bremen deny receiving 'concrete bids' for Germany World Cup 2010 star Mesut Ozil
Plenty of interest, but no offers...
By Matt Monaghan
Ozil, 21, has been the shining light of his nation's stellar performances in South Africa and will get the chance to feature in tomorrow's semi-final against Spain. Manchester City, Arsenal, Inter, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with a £20 million move to sign him up the player who has just a year left on his contract.
Speaking to Bild, general manager Klaus Allofs denied any firm offer had been received. He said: "Now he is playing a fantastic World Cup campaign, there is definitely increasing interest.
"But when it comes down to concrete bids, nothing has been done. We want him to stay on and actually there is no news.
"There are no indications he does not want to see out his contract at our club."
He added: "We need to have success on the field, especially in Champions League qualification. For this we need to have a good team."
