Maxwell: Digne reminds me of myself

The Brazilian has revealed that he has given the 20-year-old advice over how to develop himself as a player and says the youngster is a big talent
Paris Saint-Germain left-back Maxwell believes that young team-mate Lucas Digne is cut from the same mould as him.

The 20-year-old signed for the reigning French champions from Lille in the summer transfer window and has since made eight Ligue 1 appearances for the capital club.

Maxwell, who has represented the likes of Inter, Barcelona and Ajax, sees a lot of himself in the Frenchman and has revealed he gives him a lot advice.

"We talk sometimes. We work together. He's a great kid and I like to tell him positive things. It's important to communicate and give your all for the team," he told Footmercato.

"Perhaps he's an even bigger talent than myself when I was a young prospect, but I was a part of a big club. He is too. He has the drive I had when I was young. We have a lot in common."

PSG's next match is a home clash with Valenciennes in Ligue 1 on Friday at 20:30CET.
