Nasser Al-Khelaifi feels his head coach has earned an extension to his deal after reaching the Champions League last 16, but refused to divulge details of talks between the two
Edinson Cavani's late goal, which saw PSG beat Olympiakos 2-1, on Wednesday ensured that the Parisiens not only go through to the next round of the elite European competition, but they are also guaranteed to finish as Group C winners.
The Parc des Princes chief refused to divulge details of talks that he and the former France boss have had regarding extending his deal.
"He is a great coach and he deserves a long contract," Al-Khelaifi told L'Equipe following the Champions League victory on home soil.
"His work has made me happy, but the talks we have had will stay between the two of us."
Blanc took over in the summer from the Real Madrid-bound Carlo Ancelotti, with the latter having steered PSG to their first Ligue 1 title in 19 years.
As well as leading Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Co. to the last 16 of the Champions League, the ex-Manchester United defender has coached his team to the top of Ligue 1 and they are unbeaten with 14 games gone.
