Matuidi: It will be hard to catch Paris Saint-Germain

The Parisiens midfielder has fired a warning to his side's Ligue 1 rivals, stating that the league leaders will not easily relinquish top spot in France
Blaise Matuidi is confident that Paris Saint-Germain can retain their Ligue 1 crown and believes their rivals will struggle to catch them.

Les Rouge-et-Bleu secured a 3-0 win away at Reims on Saturday, with Lucas Moura, Jeremy Menez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all scoring, and moved seven points clear of Lille at the top of the table.

And, speaking in an interview with Le Parisien, Matuidi has declared that his side's ability, experience and discipline makes them clear favourites for the title.

"We have learned to be focused all the time," the 26-year-old said.

"We are always 110 per cent in all our games. With our technical quality, if we maintain this level of concentration and this state of mind, it will be hard to catch us.

"Technically, there is not much to say about our game. With our expertise and experience, we never panicked."

Matuidi has played 14 times and scored twice for les Parisiens in Ligue 1 this season, helping his side maintain a still-unbeaten league record.

PSG have 34 points from 14 games and are seven ahead of Lille and eight ahead Monaco, both of whom play on Sunday.
