The 22-year-old has enjoyed a positive start to his career in France, but admits all of his side's hard work will be wasted if they do not win the title this seasonMonaco forward James Rodriguez has revealed the club have Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 crown in their sights and are confident of wrestling the title away from the reigning champions.
After 10 games, Monaco sit two points behind les Parisiens in second place just a matter of months after sealing promotion from Ligue 2.
The winger has amassed four assists already this season since arriving from Porto in a big-money joint deal with Joao Moutinho this summer, and says winning the league is the club's sole target.
“At the moment everything is going well, but we still need to improve some things,” he told Le 10 Sport. "To win titles, we must always be focused. When a team wants to be champion, it must pay attention to detail.
“We want to be champions, winning Ligue 1. That’s why we’re here, that’s why we work every day. We want to win titles.
“I am pleased to be at Monaco, as is my family. It is a quiet town, we love living here.
“Sporting-wise, I hope this goes well. We still have some way to go to achieve our goals in Ligue 1 and qualify for the Champions League.”
Monaco will play host to Lyon on Sunday.
