The Argentina international has made it clear that the powerful striker's reputation goes before him as he is not a controversial person in real lifeEzequiel Lavezzi has stressed that Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not the bad guy that people think he is.
Ibrahimovic has earned himself a reputation as a bad boy for his temperamental behaviour on and off the pitch, but Lavezzi has insisted that the Swedish star is an enjoyable person to be around outside of football.
"Zlatan is not the ogre that people think he is. He is nothing like the image he's selling to the outside world. He has a certain image that he's living up to, but he's not like that in real life," Lavezzi told Goal.
"Everybody makes his own decisions on how to act and how you feel about certain things. Fortunately, I have a very good relationship with him and I can talk with him about all kinds of things.
"His real personality is different than his image in the football world. He is not like that, that's just a character he's playing."
Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi both joined PSG in 2012 after previously plying their trade in Serie A with AC Milan and Napoli respectively.
