The Frenchman believes that Paris Saint-Germain are out of OM's reach and has stressed Champions League qualification is their main priority
OM are seven points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain following the latter's draw with Valenciennes, but Amalfitano believes the title is already out of their reach.
"Honestly, no, winning the title is not on our mind," Amalfitano told the official Ligue 1 website.
"Our aim at the start of the season was to finish in the top five. If we can hold on to second place until the end of the campaign, that will be a fantastic achievement.
"We have been in the top three all season. Not many people believed in this squad at the start of the season and we'll send them a little message at the end.
"But, for the moment, we have three games to go and a job to do."
Marseille take on Toulouse on Saturday.
